• CDM Validator/Verifier ( Location: Beijing or Tianjin)

LRQA has provided climate change services since 2003 and was successfully re-accredited as a DOE in April 2010. We are now looking for suitable candidates to join our fast growing climate change team in China. Your role will be to support the full range of LRQA’s Climate Change services, including the validation and verification of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects.

Key Responsibility: 

  • To undertake client management activities for assigned clients

  • To lead or participate in various type of validation or verification

  • To produce verbal and written validation or verification reports on time and to the agreed format

  • To identify new and potential business opportunities, advise clients on LR and LRQA services and action any resulting leads

  • To maintain current the knowledge of appropriate regulations and legislation to ensure an effective assessment is undertaken. Share knowledge and experience with other assessors.

  • To participate in local LRQA initiatives or projects related to product development, launch, services, and product, marketing and sales campaigns.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Master degree or above in engineering or science, preferably environmental or energy related subjects

  • Over 5 years work experience, including at least 2 years experience in CDM validation / verification (applications for Technical Reviewers should have at least 3 years experience)

  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies and technologies in two or more CDM accreditation scopes.

  • Environmental compliance experience in the process, energy or electric/gas utility sectors

  • Good working knowledge of environmental monitoring, EIA, environmental management systems, climate changes activities

  • Local language, and excellent English speaking and writing skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team

  • Experience in project management and client liaison

  • Experience of other climate change and/or CSR schemes would be an advantage (e.g. ISO 14064, PAS 2050, GRI, etc)
